Title: Heater fan on all the time, no clock, no interior

or lights, no digits on the climate control display + some other strange things like meters going crazy. Checked the fuse 17 and it was blown. Changed it and the new one also blew, slight smell of burnt plastic inside the car.

Any ideas from where to start??? Don't undestand how this can effect on so many things.

Yes blown fuse 17 causes those problems.
I think the only thing to do is look behind the dash if you think that's where the smell is coming from.
I'd disconnect the battery first.

take the dash off and look for burnt multiplugs and wiring if everything is fine there, check the wiring just behind the fuseboxes...

Not sure if this is relevant or not, but the headlamp switch is a known to overheat & burn out, which in turn heats up both pin 15 at the back & the wire attached to it.

As I said, not sure whether this would be the cause of your problem, but you never know with these cars  :-/........It's definately worth checking just to rule it out  :)
