Title: air/con wiring diagram
Post by joe-satch on May 22nd, 2009, 4:34pm
hi to all members,
our daughter has just had the air/con regased on the ultima.the condensor was faulty,so we changed it...as i said its been regased...we started the engine and turned on the air/con...but the compressor is not running...we ran a jumper wire from the battery to the compressor and it ran...air/con works ok...but of course once we took the jumper wire off the compressor stopped...im going to check over the de-icing state over the next few days....but is there a wiring diagram for the air/con on this site??..i have a feeling its going to be needed in wire tracing if the de-icing state is ok...with luck it wont come to that...im going to bridge the wires loom side for the de-icing state to see if the compressor will run. :)...yes its bank holiday time again...and im working on cars... :)..have a nice weekend people. ;).thanks in advance for any help....regards den.

joe.
Unplug the pressure valve, and do a bit of bridging in the socket. If it proves faulty you can replace it without degassing, there is a valve under it which closes as you unscrew it.

right update....i have just bridged pins 1 and 2 at the de-icing switch..loom side...and the compressor runs ok..so judging by that....it seems that the de-icing switch is at fault.. :)..and i know where to get spares...there are 2 in a scrapyard near me. :)...so a job for me later in the week...thanks to all that helped with there replies.have a good bank holiday one and all. :)
