Hello everyone - hope you are all well.

The R reg facelift still goes on. Infact I havent had to post for such a while. My parents run the car and have done for the past 3 years. It has served them well.

In preparation for tomorrow's MOT we cleaned the car and made it look the part but this morning got a call to say the interior lights have stopped working. Thats both ceiling lights, the foot well lights and the glove box.

I havent touched anything - honest guv!!!! :o

I have done the obvious things and check the fuses (fuse 24 if my memory is serving me correctly).

Has anyone got any ideas?

Everything else in the car works perfectly.

Hope someone can point me in the right direction.

Things that might have gone wrong;
r5 relay, r16 relay, fuse no 24, fuse no. 36 and the timer module :)

and just to make Stuart happy; Your should rebuild your fuseboxes ;)

surely they didnt fail it tho , did they?

it's above your right knee. a wee box with lots of wires in the plug.

Thanks guys, its all very odd.

My parents run the '98 and have done for about 3 years. Nothing every has gone wrong with it and for its last MOT we got it looking mint. It had bloody good clean and polish and the rear bumper resprayed. When we checked all the lights etc etc the evening before the MOT we noticed that there was no interior lights!

First thing we checked was had water or excessive moisture got into the fuse boxes - it hadnt and they were and are as dry as a bone..

I'll get out there this weekend and see what's what.
