i have a 93 ford scorpio cosworth and have flooded the gear box with to much atf how do i drain it out as i cant seem to find a drainage plug

The easiest way is to take an oil cooler pipe off and run the engine,or you can shove a thin tube down the dipstick hole and pump/suck it out,if you use the latter method it may be necessary to slide a small grommet over the tube and inside the dip tube to create the required vacuum.

Is that Granada MkIII or newer Scorpio?

I bought pump to get oil out... It was pretty useless, just wont get much oil out.
Best and easiest way is to detach oil cooler hose (its in very front of car) and run the engine. Oil pours out at constant rate.
I also put new clip to secure that it was tightened well.

With pump only something like 1 desilitre of red/blackish fluid came after half an hour trying..

From cooler hose when engine is running, there comes propably almost everything out. I poured ~3-4 litres from there at one 'try' (stopped engine when my little container was full) , then replaced with ~3 litres of new ATF. Next time I'll pour 4 litres out and put 4 litres in. Fluid should start looking nice red...

Detaching oil sump did free only ~1-2 litres of oil. I changed filter and gasket (was leaking)
