Hi all. could anyone tell me how to stop the air bag light from flashing. it does one flash about every 10 seconds ....Kim

could be the plug in the steering wheel but disconnect the battery before taking the air bag off

A single flash would suggest the 'clockspring'. Read THIS page (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/airbags.htm) which should tell you all you need to know. ;)

If it's the plug in the steering wheel, can the pad be removed without removing the steering wheel itself?

I believe you have to remove it first to be able to remove the steering wheel ( steering wheel nut is underneath the airbag pad)

Hi Kim,had the same problem as you. Took off steering wheel(after disconnecting battery for 15mins) and found that the airbag connector had worked it's way loose enough to show the fault. Reconnecting fully should cure it.
