Title: Steam(smoke?) from air deflector
Post by einherjar on Sep 17th, 2009, 12:11pm
Sometimes, when I turn on interior fan or with turned off but blowing direction switch is set on "Front window", some smoke or steam is going through the right air deflector. After turning off fan (it actually still don't work in my Scorp) or changing blowing direction - that smoke disappears.
Any ideas?

hi there

does it smell burnt, like some wiring has melted?

if not, i wouldn't worry. i got that same white smoke once or twice. never sure what it was, but figured it was something to do with the heater matrix, as i had a small leak from it at the time.

when my engine and matrix was changed, in the year after that it never happened again.

No, both time when that white smoke was appeared I tried to smell something and even touch plastic of deflector. Absolutely no smell and no any liquid or oily marks on plastic grill.

Hello . I noticed the same thing the other morning, when i put on my heater with the A/C on to de-mist the windows. I just assumed it was a mist from the A/C. Like you see in the fridge somtimes
