Title: Re: car cuts out Post by Snoopy on Sep 29th, 2009, 3:09pm The only thing you can do is carefully start checking all the connections slowly and methodically, but I suspect that its the fuel cut off loom that has started to play up, which is a well known fault as the car gets older and may well be coincidence. |

Title: Re: car cuts out Post by scorpio_man on Sep 29th, 2009, 6:41pm hi there it could be this (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Problems;action=display;num=1179604233;start=34#34), but before all that, i'd check the fuse boxes are all dry and swap the heated front windscreen relay with the ignition relay. also, do you have a bundle of keys on your keyring? just a thought. hth |

Title: Re: car cuts out Post by Matt on Sep 29th, 2009, 7:01pm check the alternator is connected correctly, then check the fuses, on the 16v engines the cam sensor is fairly close to the battery, check that hasn't been knocked |

Title: Re: car cuts out Post by RON on Sep 29th, 2009, 10:52pm Hello again, Well I had chap come to my home today to check out the car with his diagonostics machine and thankfully the result was no major faults with the car, so the chap basically said the same as you all, check some wires here and there and some fuses, so hopefully tomorrow i'll be able to do the above tips and hopefully will get back to you with some answers.....many thanks for all your help. Regards Ron |
