Title: electrical problem Post by westy on Oct 23rd, 2009, 5:02pm hi im new to forum. my 96 scorpio has started having problems. when you switch the ignition off some of lights stay on (oil warning, battery , hand brake and the temp settings on the air/con ) today i found that if you press the brake pedal you can hear a relay click every thing is ok until you take your foot back off the pedal then the warning lights come back on. yours confused ??? |

Title: Re: electrical problem Post by Baz on Oct 23rd, 2009, 9:27pm If the battery cover had been off for any length of time, I would guess you have got water in there and that could well be what is causing your problems. |

Title: Re: electrical problem Post by Geoff_W on Oct 25th, 2009, 1:08pm Alternatively, if you are feeling lucky extension lead and hair dryer to confirm things really are dry and then hit it with the WD40. Also as we get to the damper end of the year, check around the fuse boxes to clear away any leaves that are composting, mulching nicely or just a soggy mess. You know it makes sense ;) |
