Title: spaghetti
Post by cossie_cf on Nov 16th, 2009, 2:59pm
hi there.
i have just joined . ( yes ... ime the new lad, but i wont be fetching the left handed screwdrivers or getting long stands for you ...lol))

i need some help in wiring up my bob engine. it came out of a M reg Scorpio 2.9 cosworth.   i have put it into a 1984 bedford cf. and well, to say quit exited about doing it me and my mate just pulled and yanked every wire off so we could get it out of the car asap... now it is in the cf  all that stops us from destroying the diff and tyers it getting it going.
all the internal wiring is installed we just cant remember were all the wires connect to under the bonnet.
can anybody out there help me please.
thank

john

bye the way... great site... going to have hours of fun on here. ( beats sitting with the wife getting ear ache)

a bit of trivia regarding K&N...... when I first left school in Warrington back in 1980, I worked for a company called Howley Racing where they built racing minis. The guy who owned the company was called John Chappell and he was the first man to import K&N's into the UK from America (I used to sort the incoming boxes as I was only the kid!!) and he kept the sole import rights at the time. That is why K&N's UK base is in Warrington!!

I also had a freebie supplied with the 1st base ever made for a twin 32DIF Corsair Weber carb (I had my first Corsair when I was 18!!)

As for other forums...... shame on you waiting 2 weeks to find us John!! ;D

So where are you at the moment, do you have the engine loom still complete?

What have you got fitted?

Sounds a lethal combination  :D  I put a Rover V8 in a CF a few years back and that was bad enough i the wet .

What have you done with the engine loom ?  have you fitted the battery fusebox from the Scorpio ?

god ime thick..... wots pcm

all the inside is plugged in.   i removed all the loom from the gran  erhum "SCORPIO"
i took the whole loom out and put it in the van in the same position but with the engine being inside the van through the bulk head i cant run the loom around the engine as if it was in the Scorpio  also have had to move all the bottles to the passenger side IE  steering fluid & header tank.   usually wen i have done this sort of thing b4 everything has gone were it should  but this time it is becoming a bit of a brain freeze.

in response to highlander.... if you think theirs a lot of wiring in a 24v   then you wont believe my other project that Ive nearly finished... a vauxhall brava pick up with a 4l efi daimler,  there were 3 bin liners of loom that went into that thing. but it was simple compared to this

All the looms out of one of my Corsairs only half filled a Tesco carrier bag!! and that had more than normal because it is an auto and has the inhibitor switch wires too!! ;D

TT is right they only go on the thing they are supposed to except the injectors. i had to remove engine loom to rewire some of it, but if you only transplanting engine, and wiring ok(doubtfull), then no real need to unplug it all
