You dont say which fusebox it is, but its simply a matter of following the loom, releasing cable ties and disconnecting the plugs, you may have to remove trim to gain access to it.

I think Niceman rewired his original loom Glyn, they are/were available new up until recently but i'm pretty sure they are VERY expensive, well into the hundreds of pounds.

If it's any of the fuse boxes, the feeds to the bottom are all built into the main harness and the replace it would be a mammoth task just thinking about it as those pictures show.
I carefully took one out of my 2 Lt 16v and have still got it in the shed, it's just sat there in a bag where I dropped it cos it's so Darn heavy.

I would admire anyone who removes and fits a replacement, but if you do then I would highly recommend taking Photo's of every stage.... Good luck. ;)

Local Ford dealer told me that there are 4 harnesses in the vehicle and that all were listed as being no longer available from Ford. I'd asked because the engine harness on my V6 12V was in a very poor condition due to insulation degradation and I was after a replacement. In the end I had to strip it down and repair/replace as necessary to get it sorted. I also rerouted it all to keep it further away from the cylinder  head to try and reduce any thermal degradation in future.

Just an update on the engine wiring harness - the local Ford supplier says that they have been withdrawn and last known price for the 24v was £1500 + vat !!
