Title: Continental Driving Post by josswallace on Dec 20th, 2009, 6:49pm I can't adjust my car's headlights physically for continental driving and I wonder if any one can tell me/show me where on he headlights I should fit masks so as to not blind on coming drivers. I set off very late Monday evening so I apologise for this last minute request. Merry Xmas to all..........Ian Wallace |

Title: Re: Continental Driving Post by Chris_Basel on Dec 21st, 2009, 11:02am Due to the design of the headlamps, I don't think there is a place on the headlamps that you could put a mask. What's wrong with moving the lever inside the headlamp? This sets the beam pattern flat for driving in Europe. Chris |

Title: Re: Continental Driving Post by Baz on Dec 21st, 2009, 9:25pm JW there is no pattern for the Scorpio lights to be masked. As Chris points out, the lights have an internal lever to switch the beam pattern when driving abroad (this is one of the advantages of projector headlamps, I have the same type on the S Class and it is just a flick of a switch for them too) By trying to mask the lights, you could seriously reduce your light output and night vision. Is there a problem with your lights that prevent them being switched? |

Title: Re: Continental Driving Post by Snoopy on Dec 22nd, 2009, 7:43am The lever sometimes takes some finding..You have to take the covers off. I personally used a little screwdriver to flick the levers over when I used the facility. Once you find it its really easy , but as previously stated you cannot mask the headlights they are not the type for that ther are what are called polyelipsoidl which is adopted by many manufacturers today! |
