Title: Re: fob/key problem Post by tonyboy on Jan 24th, 2010, 5:40pm Hello. Make sure you have the correct batteries, CR2016 lithium 3v. Put your key in the ignition turn it to position 1, then back to 0, do that 3 times and your should hear a bleep. press the unlock button on your remote, you will hear another bleep, turn your key to the 0 position and you will hear a confirmation bleep. Your remote should be re-programmed. If you don't hear a bleep after pressing the unlock button, then there's a problem with the remote... http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/remote.htm ..... If the remote don't work you could try this http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/remote_repair.htm |

Title: Re: fob/key problem Post by Simmo on Jan 25th, 2010, 7:07am Alan. Any Ford key will lock a car. If the key or lock barrel is worn it will not unlock. Do you have another key to try?. Was the key working in the door before your problem or have you been relying on the fob?. These fobs can be a pain when they have been disturbed to change batteries as the contacts inside can get bent. The 'upright' contact where the batteries fit is sometimes a problem. ;) |

Title: Re: fob/key problem Post by lleewar on Jan 26th, 2010, 8:09am Sounds like your battery is caput. Not unusual. Get it charged then get it checked. If it does not hold power get a replacement under guarantee from where you bought it. Lee |
