Title: Hello from Birmingham Post by jarlayari on Feb 25th, 2010, 8:39am Hi All, I just bought a 2.3 Ultima Estate on a P Reg. Its a Cat C car as needs a front bumper and drivers side headlight. I paid £50 for it and hope it will be a nice car once its done. Problem is I cant get into the car. The door locks are broken as the previous owner always used the fob and the battery has gone flat. Is there anyone in the birmingham area who could help me open the bonnet one of the evenings this weekend so I can get the car home and get the work done? Thanks Andi |

Title: Re: Hello from Birmingham Post by Matt on Feb 25th, 2010, 9:57am Oh lol, well if it comes to it ive got a spare door glass, if we can hook the string in the boot with some wire will save a lot of agro as the bonnet catch its well hidden, the slam panel is 2 layers and the catch mech sits in the middle |

Title: Re: Hello from Birmingham Post by Snoopy on Mar 1st, 2010, 7:39am Wouldn't have thought so but IF you could leave it connected for a a while it would put some charge in the battery. Never had to do it myself but I do know the method I gave you WORKS. |
