not a lot to go on there info wise!

what about the reversing lights?
did they both just stop working together?

if so, i'd check the wiring up at one of the hinges for breaks.

lights ok .lock works with key but not with fob

Has it always been like this or has it suddenly stopped working? My lock motor was missing when I bought mine. The lock works with a motor that is activated upon pushing the lock button or the fob button. If I remember correctly, the topmost wire is the +12V and the lowest the ground (middle unconnected). Try give it a short pulse of power, but not directly from the battery.

no was all ok a week a go no show if it is a coincidence that they stop working at the same time

there could be earthing spot corroded badly, inside tailgate. It's next to wiper motor if I remember correctly.
