First thought blocked fuel filter! Has it been changed?

Otherwise any one of many things,  Plugs, leads, coil pack, the usual suspects.

Hi Alan,

mine showed this behaviour around 80 km/h which is near enough. Car slowed down when depressing accelarator and started to have "hiccoughs".

Turned out to be caused by the EGR sensor wiring.
From the main engine compartment loom a small 3-wire loom goes up to the EGR sensor.

Cable isolation was brittle and had shortages where it leaves the main loom. Once isolated again no probs.

Easily tested by pulling off the EGR sensor plug and testdrive. If all is OK then your problem is located.

HTH,
Ray
