Title: ABS was ok now on Post by Robin.M on Jun 9th, 2010, 7:20pm Two cars both the same, ,98 2.5 diesel auto. Fault on the estate car ABS light on. Checked all the sensers and found rear driver side senser produced no reading, removed the same senser from the saloon and fitted to the estate to see the result. ABS light still on - mistake I made I place the possible faulty senser onto the saloon and switched on the ignition. ABS light came on. Both cars now have ABS light on. Do I need the fault codes to be cleared before the ABS light goes out. If I find a secondhand senser for the estate - presume same fault code to be cleared |

Title: Re: ABS was ok now on Post by Snoopy on Jun 10th, 2010, 8:11am The car has to be driven above 15mph to clear the fault light. The code will remain in the system for recovery. |
