Title: Re: Clutch slave cylinder replacement Post by faffi on Jun 15th, 2010, 1:29pm Thank you for the quick reply. It's the same system used by SAAB. I figured Ford were brighter than them ;) |

Title: Re: Clutch slave cylinder replacement Post by amigafan2003 on Jun 17th, 2010, 8:59pm You mean designing a system whereby they can charge you £300 to change a £40 part is very bright of them? |

Title: Re: Clutch slave cylinder replacement Post by faffi on Jun 17th, 2010, 9:56pm They charged the current owner of my former 2.3 about £1200 to fix it :( You could say it's bright of them, but it's a poor design. I thought Saab was the only one to use this kind of system, but apparently they are not. The system on my Triumph motorcycle is brilliantly simple and the slave is bolted onto the outside of the engine :) |
