can any one help , i've lost head lamps , but still have rear lights . lost wipers and wash , lost indecators but still have hazzards .
problems started 2 days ago , wife said car wont start , quick sptay with wd40 on to both fuse boxs and 10 mins on charge started fine .
next day came out to car totally flat battery , spent day recharging
this morning re-fit battery car starts first time (as usual ) , packed car for camping trip . got down the road to find i had no wipers or wash , turned back to home and found , no indecators or head lights .
BEFORE YOU SUGGEST IT
I'VE CHECKED ALL FUSES IN BOTH MAIN AND SIDE BOX , CHANGED THE RELAYS THAT I COULD WITH SPARES , SWAPPED WHAT I COULD TO SEE IF ANYTHING CHANGED (FOUND HEATED FRONT SCREEN RELAY FAULTY ) CHANGES MAINFUSE BOX FOR A RECON ONE THAT I HAD SPARE , REMOVE AND DRYED SIDE BOX WITH HAIR DRYER .

STILL NO CHANGE , STARTING TO THINK IT MAYBE AN EARTHING PROBLEM BUT CAN ONLY SEE TWO EARTH CABLE IN ENGINE BAY - ARE THERE ANYMORE AND WHERE ARE THEY .

I'M OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS , ITS ALREAY COST ME £80 FOR CAMPING PITCH BUT I NEED TO FIX THESE FAULT ASAP .

Check you've got the multiplug back correctly to the cental fuse box - very common for it not to seat properly. See here:

I am really being serious but you haven't been opening and closing the ashtray have you?
the ashtray mech can over time wear away at crucial wiring just behind.
My old 100k miler, the headlights wouldn't go out, and the engine kept running!
Worth a try and costs nowt.

I suspect you may also have a battery drain too , can you give us a few more details, engine, transmission type etc?

THANKS , ALL FIXED .
MY THANKS TO TOMP AND AN APOLOGY , I DIDNT THINK YOU WERE RIGHT , THE AMOUNT OF TIMES I HAD TAKEN THAT PLUG OFF AND ON , I USED THE TIGTHENER TO PLACE , NEVER SPOTED THE BOTTOM LUGS . MY MISTAKE ( ONLY COST ME £50 FOR AUX FUSE BOX ). SO THERE YOU GO A WORD TO THE WISE , DONT GET STUCK ON ONE IDEA , I WAS SURE IT WAS AUX FUSE BOX .

You’re not the first, lots of people caught out by this as they’re sure they’ve got it back right or the AA man did it so should OK etc. I think Highlanders pictures have been a big help with this problem. :)

That is exctly why the link was put up in How to Do Things. There is an old saying on here,which is what prompted a detailed set of photos from Stuart..... " If you think you've got it on correct the first time you probably haven't". ;)
