My Scorpio has failed its MOT due to a fog light (light) been out inside the car on the dash, never had one and cant find any info on where it shoud be, can anyone help Cheers

its says fog light indicator on dash failed to illuminate.

its meant to be where all the other clocks and lighs are etc....

There isnt a foglight indicator in the instrument cluster,

There should be a light displayed on the light switch when the foglights are switched on, maybe the bulb has gone

Maybe the MOT inspector expects a fog light indicator on the instrument panel, but didn't see one so failed. Perhaps he dosn't realise that it's on the switch. You know what these mechanics are like with Scorpio's

It's an LED held in by a rubber boot.

If you go to This page (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/acmod.htm) and scroll down to the last photo it shows a switch in great detail and the location of the front and rear fog lamp warning lights are behind the two symbols shown on the lower left of the switch bezel. ;)

I think what Oz is saying is that the MOT bloke didn't see a warning light for the fogs where all the other warning lights are, by the speedo

Orange light in the middle of the knob isn't it?

LED's don't 'blow' like bulbs, could be a bad connection issue (?)

It's an LED in a rubber boot that pushes onto 2 pins on the circuit board & looks like this:
