Title: Radio Codes!! Post by birdman on May 13th, 2011, 1:44pm Hi again yet another problem with my relatively new car 1996 Scorpio Ultima16v Auto (well to me anyway). This time it is with the Radio! For some reason it is asking for the “Code” and as I don’t have any of the original Owners manuals I don’t have the Code for the radio can anyone give any suggestions on how I can get the access code please? ??? Thank you Mal |

Title: Re: Radio Codes!! Post by birdman on May 17th, 2011, 5:41pm Thank you for your help I have managed to get the code! ;D So I thought I would give you an up-date on how I am progressing!! The only problem is that the bl**** thing has stopped working altogether now :'(, it will not turn back on!! :'( just before I took the panel out or even touched it, it went dead and I can’t get it back on!! Is there a fuse or a relay somewhere, if so can someone please tell me which one and which board it is on I have found 2 of the boards (1st on left under the Battery cover, 2nd on right under a waterproof panel) but I believe there is a third which I am unable to locate!! Most of the problems I seem to be having I suspect are due to this vehicle being stood for some time and I think everything is damp or dirty my reasoning is that I removed all the fuses and cleaned the board and since then I have not had any bother with the lights and other systems have now started to work too!! |

If you PM me your address I will send you a handbook,it might be a bit dog eared, but will fill the bill. GOZZ. |

Title: Re: Radio Codes!! Post by Simmo on May 18th, 2011, 6:26am The radio is covered by fuse no 8 in the main fusebox. That is the the drivers side one. The one beneath the battery cover is known as the auxillary fusebox.Ther are no other fuses BUT there are relays fitted in various locations apart from in the fuseboxes. |
