Title: Petrol locking motor
Post by tonyboy on Jun 10th, 2011, 11:10pm
Hello, Got fed up with the motor not stopping, Seems to happen only when the weather gets hot ??? . So i took it out and stripped it, Found out that it's a little cam in the motor thats worn and not catching the wheel to make it stop,so it keeps going round and round and round and round and round and round and round. I tried to fix it with a bit of wire and araldite lasted for about 5 weeks then it started again . So I'm after another one. Have posted in the parts wanted
Tony

I get the same......I haven't stripped it down, but I have found that parking the car so the rear is in the shade or that the O/S is facing away from direct sun prevents the motor from going bananas  ;)
