The welded heat shield on my cat has rusted and is hanging off, Have used jubilee clips to hold it back on.
But will this pass an MOT like that.

Mine always passes without the heat shield, but whether your repaired one will probably depends on how secure/safe it is.

Just rip the blasted thing off, I did about two years ago with no effect. The new ones come without the shield anyway.

If you have a new pattern type cat on like my one they won't go back on anyway.

You won't be parking on any long grass will you? ;D
