So have I !. Wait till Scorpioman appears as I'm sure he has done a write up on it. Essentially you need to remove it,clean the shaft and lubricate it. May need a new gasket when you refit. :)

thanks for that... when found maybe useful to put somewhere maybe how to do things..i know its not difficult to remove but any tips eg lubricate the needle etc would be useful

hi there

that's really all there is to it.

3 in 1 oil is best as wd40 can be a bit 'sticky'.

Go to youtube and put in 'idle control valve problem', it should come up for you
