hi guys i have a TD scorpio estate
when im driving along the temp gauge goes up and down intermitantly as if the power to it keeps bein cut off ??
ive changed the clocks so i know its not that , does anyone know where the temp sensor is on the engine ??

The first thing to check is the water level. If there is a circulation problem or air lock that could cause it. Have you done any work on it recently that would involve draining the rad?. You could have a look at This page (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/tdi-0996.htm) and see if that helps.  :)

I had the same problem on my 2 litre scorp and it turned out to be the thermostat.
