Post by Scorp_Kev on Nov 13th, 2011, 8:47am
Hi. Is it easy to remove the glass from the sunroof to replace the rubber surround. Mine has started to stick up and prevents window from sliding back.

Cheers guys

The sunroof could be sticking because of rusting of the groove that the seal sits in.  Water gets between the seal and the glass and sits in the groove rusting it out. I used silicon grease and worked under the seal and rubbed it into it to try and halt the rusting. My plastic gear has now gone, I think a mondeo one will fit but dont want to risk it untill I can wind it back and forth with a handle.

Mine now works again,  thanks to a motor I got from 5stud ;D ;D. ;D The mondeo gear is the same as the scorp and the handle fits, I used one to make sure the roof was free.
