Title: Re: Arrggghhh TD Fuel pump Post by SteveO on Jun 27th, 2012, 6:37am I pulled the pump backwards before realising there was a locking nut on the spindle. Now I can't locate the pump back in place and the lock nut turns the whole shaft. I may give up as there were no buyers for it anyway! |

Title: Re: Arrggghhh TD Fuel pump Post by Matt on Jun 27th, 2012, 1:48pm sounds like its come off the key in the sprocket or the key dropped out, either way id say the front cover needs to come off to get the timung marksback |

Title: Re: Arrggghhh TD Fuel pump Post by SteveO on Jun 27th, 2012, 2:03pm The car is for scrap anyway and I'm just taking what I can for spares or sale. Not sure how to get the bottom pulley off as the engine turns because the gearbox is out and I can't figure out how to stop it spinning when I try to release the bottom pulley nut. Same applies to the steering pump pulley. |

Title: Re: Arrggghhh TD Fuel pump Post by SteveO on Jun 29th, 2012, 1:59pm I would have put it in gear but the box is out. There are three holes in the pulley - I don't know until I take a closer look if they will accommodate a screwdriver to try and lock it up. Even I get the cover off, I don't have the tool to extract the fuel pump core. |
