my local garage noted that my 1996 scorpio exhaust manifold was cracked. I,m due my Mot at the end of this month. Is this likely to fail my car?. if so can anyone advise if this can be repaired or what would be the likely cost of a new manifold.

Yes, it's an mot failure.

What model Scorpio is it?

Someone on here should have a used one somewhere - new would be expensive...that is if still available.

the 2.0 and 2.3 have the same manifold

and as stated they can be welded

If its a 16v model i have a good used one for £15

Thanks for your offer. I will ask the garage if they will fit a used manifold and if so I will contact you to arrange payment. my car is a 1996 16v auto 1998cc.
