Title: whst have I jolted loose?
Post by wolfblood on Mar 10th, 2013, 10:42pm
Hi
Driving along one of the potholed filled roads yesterday in the rain and hit a particularly bad one. The jolt looks to have knocked something loose.
The symptoms are that when pushing the accelerator I occasionally get no extra power at all. It just sticks at about 1000 rpm. It seems to do this most when I need to accelerate rapidly such as pulling out of junctions, away from lights or going up hill. All of a sudden it might kick in. If not I have to pull over, turn engine off then on again.

could be crushed fuel lines, crushed exhaust damaged auto box cooler pipes?

what side of the car dropped down the pot hole?

Cheers. Thankfully it didn't feel like it bottomed out.

Possibly damaged the cat, get someone to listen to you drive by – vehicles often make a hissing noise if the converter is blocked.
