Title: Alarm problem Post by mk1boy on May 5th, 2013, 11:21am Hi all. The battery on the car is completely flat and when I connect jump leads from another car, its sets the alarm off. I try to turn it off with the remote, but no luck. I have checked the batteries in the remote and they are fine. I guess the same situation would apply if the battery was disconnected at any time then re-connected? I want to get the Scorpio running without driving the neighbours mad! Is there anything I should be doing that prevents the alarm going off? thanks! |

Title: Re: Alarm problem Post by Tompion on May 5th, 2013, 11:55am On the odd occasion my alarm has gone off, just locking then unlocking with the key has stopped it. You could try holding down the bonnet switch (at the front near the bonnet catch). The alarm sounder is behind the battery, just disconnect it to keep the neighbours happy whilst you sort out the alarm. |

Title: Re: Alarm problem Post by mk1boy on May 5th, 2013, 3:09pm Thanks for the tip. Disconnected the alarm sounder and held the bonnet switch down - the alarm went off - no sound obviously! - but the indicators flashed. Then I beeped the remote and the alarm re-set. cheers! |
