Title: BOB, big fuel consumption, sensors
Post by Martinss on Jun 2nd, 2013, 9:28pm
Yesterday measured fuel consumption of my bob 20l/100km seems a bit too much. So I wanted to ask, which sensors could be causing this consumption problem? PreCAT lambdas were changed (OBD scanner showed, that all 4 lambdas are dead) and still, no change. :(
Also, when accelerating, it sometimes starts to work only on 4 or 5 cylinders, but it is only till about 3k or 4k rpm, after it revs fine. So, what could be causing this big fuel consumption problem? :(

Wen't to BOSCH diagnostic service, they told that there ir problem with fuel pressure. Checked injectors, they all were in good condition, checked FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR, it showed 3.0bar then it showed 3.5bar, basicly, there wasn't constant 3.0bar pressure. My question is - have somebody tried fitting regulator from different cars? Bought used 3.0bar regulator from bmw 2.8i engine just to test will it fit, no success. :(

BMW regulator on the top, Scorpio regulator on the bottom.
