Can someone please tell me if parts are available? I was forced to make small movements to extricate my self and the fluid has leaked out after 5 miles. At 83 I can do no work work on the car. Reg P751 etc. A rapid reply would be appreciated.

Malcolm, the first thing is to find out where the fluid is coming from. IF it is coming out of one of the gaiters then a seal has gone on the rack and the only reliable thing to do is to have the rack replaced. If it is from a hose then that may have split or been forced off the reservoir. I'd guess it is from one of the gaiters on the rack. Racks are available and it is a fairly quick job for a garage to replace one. The details are available on the site. Here (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/steermanual.htm). Scroll down to the rack. UPDATE: I have spoken to a Company called Kelly Bray (http://www.kellybraysteering.co.uk/) 01579/382766, who members have dealt with before. They deal with refurbished racks and the owner says he can supply you with one. The question arises as to who is going to fit it as they need to make sure the old fluid is flushed out of the system etc. If you give the man a call he will help you out. :)

The pressure pipe went/leaked, on my 98 24v, the one from the pump to the rack . They are no longer available so you would have to have yours repaired. Where are you in the country?.

Problem solved! My MOT tester, Martin came round - loose hose clip. Thanks all for the help. Kelly Bray has one in stock
