Title: plastic chain guide broke what do we do Post by tiggerlit on Oct 22nd, 2015, 4:34pm hi guys just done a head gasket on the engine perfectly running now but when looking for the water leak found by the garage yesterday when doing a mot. we have found that the plastic chain guide has broke. does that mean we have to redo the timing chain ie buy a whole new kit and bomb. hope you can help thanks |

Title: Re: plastic chain guide broke what do we do Post by Tompion on Oct 22nd, 2015, 9:20pm If you mean the guide that is on the top run between the camshafts, I recently changed that when I renewed the cam cover & front cover gaskets. That was all I changed. Whether the same can be said for any other guide I don't know. |
