Title: cosworth water leak
Post by Torbayboy on Nov 3rd, 2017, 1:45pm
Anyone help please - need info on a water leak seems to be coming from around heater matrix and dripping (slowly) on exhaust.
Pictures and finis codes for the hoses would be great.

Before you replace anything have a look at This article (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/acdrain.htm) which is what Gozz is referring to. If they are the source of your drip then they are working correctly. ;)

GO EASY in this area. The rubber pipes fit on to plastic tubes on the Matrix and they could well be brittle with age. :(

Read This article (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/matrix.htm) and scroll down and enlarge the pictures on the right of the page. Second one down shows those plastic pipes clearly. ;)

Drain Pipes are HERE (http://fordscorpio.co.uk/acdrain.htm)
Full heater manual is HERE (http://fordscorpio.co.uk/heatermanual.htm)

If you go to the main site there is a search facility at the bottom of the page. ALL of the Scorpio Worskshop manual is there to read. Good bed time reading!

Problem sorted now, it would seem it was the air con condensation.
It has not used a drop since putting back on the road, thanks for the help!
