Disaster struck earlier today when the radiator burst and left my mate and I stranded! Luckily the AA were not far away but the result was an undignified, towed, return to home behind the van.
The rad had a new core some time ago and this time it looks to have split the vertical plastic tank on the offside. I have not removed the rad yet but there is a clear hole and split there.
There was no sign of the temperature gauge rising before the event
My early searches on the internet for a replacement rad are not encouraging :( :(

Oh dear. Not a pleasant experience. I well remembering that when I had a leaking rad on my Scorpio the temperature gauge never moved. Never trusted it after that. Became a little more paranoid.
I am sure you will find a replacement. even its one off a Granada which I seem to recall fits!

I had two Rads built for my 24 valve Scorps some time ago by a Rad Co. in Wolverhampton, they did a grand job. However I just can't find the info on them on here. I am sure I reported it somewhere????.

Having moved home finding stuff is a nightmare! >:(

Thanks to Scorpio Mike I have now ordered the Rad. he found and it should be here in the week.

Had a chat with Tompion earlier so hopefully we may be able to sort the longstanding fan issue soon.

Radiator ordered Sunday evening. Arrived, from Germany, 1030am on Wednesday, fitted yesterday before lunchtime! ;)
