Title: Re: Heated rear window Post by Simmo on Oct 29th, 2018, 4:17pm Podge, if you are not getting power check out the loom by the offside boot hinge. IF the wire runs through there it is a possible source of problem. The loom MUST be secured away from the hinge or continual contact can fracture the wires. Sometimes this is not visible unless the outer covering is unwrapped. Scorpio Mike will know if the wiring runs via this route I'm sure. ;) |

Think he has a saloon so the only wires which run by the boot hinge will be for the lights on the boot. Different matter on the estate where the wires run through those long rubber boots and the flexing from opening & closing the tailgate can cause the wires to break internally - common problem with many hatchbacks & estates. |
