Title: Heater intermittent Post by podge on Jan 17th, 2019, 7:35pm Hi, Another problem, the old girl is sure feeling her age.- This time the temperature gauge is up and down, when idling goes to the middle position - but heater output even on setting 29 is barely warm, the faster I go the colder it gets and temperature gauge goes back to nearly zero. I suspect the thermostat, can any one shed a light on this before I have the thermostat changed and the system flushed out. Podge. |

Title: Re: Heater intermittent Post by Simmo on Jan 18th, 2019, 7:41am I'd say you are on the right lines Podge. If you've had no issues with heat before I'd just change the 'stat. :) Be sure to get the correct one. I did my 2.0ltr once and the part from the factors did not fit correctly so I ended up going to Ford for one. Found the receipt from 2011! Part No. 6994257 and the rubber sealing ring 1092262. :) |
