My P Reg Estate tailgate screen is smashed. Ford dont supply anymore and having problems finding one. I would be OK with buying complete tailgate. Can anybody help?

I know this won't help much but there was a guy who had a warehouse full of Scorpio's he was selling parts for as well as doing some up. He lived in Sutton or there about.

I contacted ebay guy, he first gave price then changed to whole tailgate and then changed to saying I had to exchange tailgate which I thought very odd. However "needs must" so I said I would although I am not certain tailgate is same as mine. I doubt Ford would incur cost of different tailgates.
He will only communicate via ebay which is very slow, no phone no. or address and he has some terrible reviews on ebay so I guess "buyer beware"
So I am no further forward - help!!!!!!

I should have added above that ebay guy has not responded for a week now re. my accepting exchange and of course as he will only exchange thru ebay I am stuck.

The granny should fit but I think I'm right insaying no hi level brake light, same as early scorps ;)

I'd be very reluctant to exchange a tailgate unless I was able to take it away, fit it & return the damaged one. How would you go about it? you'd need to strip out all your wiring first as no connectors under the headlining & hope all connections are the same in the replacement which is quite likely for a Scorpio one but may not be with a Granada Scorpio one.

Update. I have arranged to exchange mine with a breakers. I have a guy who will take wiring out of my gate and put in exchanged - just hope they are same.
