Post by johneisen2001 on Jul 16th, 2022, 3:39pm
Hi, I now have spark but the ignition timing is wrong. Does anyone know a someone who comes out who is able to set the timing for me. I'm based in Barnet, North London.

As far as I am aware  the ignition timing on the 12 v cologne engine has to done in a set procedure which I am sure is in the 12v notes on the main web pages.
If you alter it without going through the procedure the car will attempt to amend it electronically.

The way to re time the distributor etc is contained at section 86 of this page of the V6 manual
HERE (https://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/manual/engines/12v/V612VDismantle.pdf)
there are a couple of pictures showing the marks that have to be aligned

@johneisen2001,I am sure it is possible by cutting the PIP or the SPOUT wire. I did it on my Granada 2.8 EFI.
