Had my renewal quote from hastings essentials, last year it was £209 fully comp 2.9 24V cossie. This year they quoted £254. I looked on Go Compare, It came up with Hastings essentials £197, everything the same. I phoned them up and told them about the £197 quote. They said they couldn't match that quote as it was nearly £60 cheaper. I said " but it's the same company " He's reply was ,that the quotes on the internet are cheaper and they can't do anything about it, and advised me to cancel my policy what i've got, and go with this go compare quote. So i've canceled my insurance with hastings, and got this other policy with hastings but cheaper........... crazy..... ???

i ahd the same thing i got a quote over the phone with swinton that came to £780 and then i did it via moneysupermarket and it came out at 640 with the same company. It is also cheaper for me to insure a car fully comp than 3rd party.

They are trying to do away with the 3rd party insurance by making it the same price as fully comp.

Definitely worth checking it every renewal, I got the cheapest quote from Norwich union for £185, next year at the renewal they wanted £355!!

Been with Churchill the last two years as they were cheapest but i moved house recently and my premium went from £180 to £528!! I wont be with them after next month!! ;D

No Rich, he hasnt moved to the Bronx ! If he had im sure he would of been knocking on my door for tea & bacon by now :-) :-). Isnt insurance a funny thing though. If i lived 300 yards north of my current address i would be in another postcode, which has a much lower crime rating than mine ! It's 300 yards away for gods sake !!!!!

talking to my uncle today , hes bought himself a nissan navarro , when he gave his adress as bermondsey , s e london (not the nicest of places , dont really like south of the river lol) he was qouted 1000 quid , left it a day phoned back and said he like to insure it at his place in the cotswolds(very nice) price dropped to 400 !!!!!
