Just the thing for a certain member at that future birthday somewhere of in the distance.  ;D

And it was on a silver Ford, however it was a Fiesta Zetec S.

A Fiesta.....must get one to keep in the glove box if I run out of petrol!!

I nearly bought BJ7 once, but they want sooooo much for the 2 letter plates

I like the one I got, but it may look a bit daft in the future on my 1.1 Escort when the Scorpios have all disappeard!!

Not taking the pi** by the way. It's just that I was surprised at what I thought you were saying.

Speaking of Scorpios living for ever/not living for ever:

They aren't going to live forever. Not long at all in the whole grand scheme..  I intend to keep mine until it dies, ten years maybe, but i've been reading the site's 'after the scorpio' pages, which detail comparisons between the scorpio and the omega, mercedes something, and Lexus LS400.  They're all nice. The omega is the only one I could hope for, and since they only just stopped making them they'd be an ideal age in a few years for me. However. I had a better idea. Much better.

It comes in the shape of a Volkswagen Passat. And it IS a Passat. The 4.0 W8 version. Kind of rare in these parts. There's a 53 reg on trader now for £17k. ..... 275bhp, five speed fully auto/tiptronic box.. good mpg somehow.  The six-speed manual version does 60 in 6.5 seconds.

Course, comparing that to the 1994ish VW Polo coupe G40, it doesn't look so good. It matches that time and it's a 1.3. Supercharged of course, but even so.

I'm rambling. A lot.

Nighty night.

Dave

Hmm, he's inserted the word "NOT"

If you look at the 1st line I quoted, thats what was said originally.
The second version is with the vital full stop put in its plcae.
I think  :-/

I don't fix dialysis machines or drive lorries (although I do have a full class 1 licence).
I'm a carpenter & maintenance free home improvement specialist (I do uPVC windows, doors, conservatories, fascia & soffit, etc...)  ;D
