Having placed a few posts in this section myself and seeing no end of other cars around that do not seem to be accounted for on here is it safe to say that there are tons of Scorpio drivers out there who do not even know this forum exists?!
I see many posts in this section with no follow ups so I can only presume that it's possible the owners do not frequent this forum or know of it's existance.
Maybe it would be a good idea to come up with a Scorpio Forum calling card that members could print off and if they see another Scorpio car parked up or owner leave the card on the car/with the driver notifying them of this wonderful information resource?
I would not like to think this forum is some secret underground club and am always keen to pass on knowledge and information to anyone else in need.

Most Scorpio owners I see obviously think i'm mad by the way thay look at me as I flash or wave to them :o

What a brilliant idea. That should happen! Maybe it could be printed on a sort of business card... produced by someone who can produce business cards, and then sold in decks of twenty to members for about.. a pound or something?

Someone make it happen!

We might have to moderate how many cards are given out though. We don't want all manner of scumbags on here. I suppose that's the good thing about the scorp though, there are very few scumbags....

I have business card software and this is also readily available to other's who might be interested in running the project but we would need to come up with an agreed logo/image, hopefully the same that appears at the top of this forums web pages and the correct sign-up web address.

Excellent, saves me or anyone else doing the job, now we just need a copy of the master file so we can print off on standard business card software.

This was done a couple of years ago I know Kevin R uses them to solicate new members! I myself still have a few in my car just in case

They would have course have to be waterproofed incase it rained and the owners came back to what looked like a pile of bird pooh under his/her wiper!!

I've printed some on thick photo paper, they look pretty good ;).

(I will remove the "Herts" referance from bottom)

On the site would be ideal. Looks like i'll have to upgrade our 1993 version of Publisher.. program old as time. If it was photo paper it'd hold a bit of rain off... or we could go crazy and start laminating.

I did this myself some time ago (and got called a geek and an anorak for my trouble :-[)

What about lamimating the cards?
I made the cards 56x90mm and used self-laminating pouches. Dead easy ;D

We did do some stickers last year, I gave the last couple out at harewood this year, nice and discreet.

If the demand is there we will do some more but i need a minimum order of 30 to sort them.

...my own personal opinion (for whatever that's worth), is that those stickers look terrible and I would never put anything like that in my own car (each to their own 8) ), plus I still think a business card is a much better idea.

Ah the joys of an open forum, your opinion is your opinion, buy at the time no one had anythin and everyone was going to do something but no one did, which is normal.

If you would like to sort out new ones which look better and dont cost a fortune, those were £3 inc P+P, you can put me down for at least 6 stickers.

Let me know how you would like payment and an address to post it off to and I will get you off and running.

Hi Nick,

Yes, you guys were right to go ahead and design a sticker like that at the time, it was obviously simple, inexpensive and effective.

I am sure that other forum members will like this type of notice and my negative comments were in no way meant to patronise, or ridicule those of you who like and want to use it.

I just prefer the business card approach myself and like a car totally clean of any stickers (every car I have ever bought I always strip off any third-party stickers in the windows etc.).

Oh well, as long as we all, in our own ways, take a proactive approach to notifying other Scorpio owners of this wonderful resource then we are all successful.

So right you are, and no offence taken, but it highlights the age old problem.
What I like about this site is it is NOT a car club, so you dont have the hassle, bickering or backbiting that normally goes with it.

it does however highligh the age old problem, everyone wanted a sticker or something like it.
Everyone would display one, but no one would get off there backsides and get one sorted, so someone did, then gave up the time to collect orders and post them out. I still get emails now from people wanting them, I still see cars dispalying them but dispite the fact some people want a better one, no one has to date been out, went to places, got prices, got them made, taken orders and posted them out.

If you see a car in a car park the cards work well, but every buisness with a van and a website now adverises the site on there vehicles, so I guess the principle is correct, just needs refining and a design change. I dont think you can please all the seople all of the time though.

So again I will offer, if I get 20 messages from people wanting a sticker, even though the minimum order is 30, i will get some more done and get them posted out.

If no orders are recieved they will remain a small but exclusive advert by 50 or so people for the forum

I wouldn't mind a sticker or two myself, In fact i would take two for def, one for me and one for my Dad.
Are the prices going to be around £3 again ?.
