Off to a job in Perth on Inveralmond industrial estate in the morning so have decided to head up there tonight to get a good nights kip away from the wifes snoring!!

Castleford> Edinburgh> Kilmaurs and back yesterday and today.

Those roads around the borders are just deserted and lovely ;D

Got here about an hour ago and am on my 3rd budweiser!! I agree Geoff, the scottish roads are only marred by the bloody speed cameras!!

Cruise Control is a must up there. In many parts of the borders there seem to be more cameras than people, or other cars ;D

The other thing that puzzles me is the 50mph limit on the M77, clean and clear heading down to Kilmarnock, whats that about, have there been lots of accidents or something?

Ahh my hometown Kilmarnock :)

Thats stretch of road has just been upgraded and I think some parts of it are still under construction, I think it will be given higher speed limits once its all complete.
I hope so, its a great stretch of road now.

P.s. it used to be one of those roads with 4 lanes and no central reservation!! exciting stuff it was!

Go a little farther North! the speed cameras and traffic disapear,it's great!! :D

Hi All,

Just back from a trip to S W scotland ourselves. As you say watch out for those cameras. Very little crime there so suppose they use the motorists to keep the figures up !

Only kiding. Great place and fantastic people. Scorp drove faultlessly, thats tempting fate, and the fuel consumption was brilliant on the open roads.

theres no a speed camera within 100 miles of me, unless the cops can be bothered to take the gun out!!
