Y  reg !!!!!, are you sure?
There have been a couple of  V reg ones spotted & spoken about before but never a Y reg.
That would make it 2001...a good three years after they finished production. :o

there might be a few that sat in dealers a couple of years before being sold and registered......

It is possible.... look at this MKV Cortina which was sold on EBay last year. This one bypassed all of the Sierra era and most of the Mondeo one too!!

Looking at the showroom window that was from TC Harrisons, the Harrisons family were into collecting cars in a big way and had a habit of getting one of each new model, sometimes more, dust sheeting them up and sticking them on stands in a warehouse.

Saw my previously spotted W reg again just now in tescos (Blueboar) Norwich, coming towards me so cant tell engine, but it was a prefacelift, so must have been sitting somewhere for a while before being registered.

Sorry Baz but I had to laugh ;D
The wife asked what was so funny and I said theres a post about arse lifts.
She reckons we are all sad talking about surgery on a car forum.
What does she know she cant even reverse a scorp without hitting things ::) ::) ::)

If it was comming towords me it would habe been a facelift, but it was going away from me so all I could see was the modded rear end. 1st one I have actualy noticed in the flesh..

Nope. Don't agree with that. I like both styles but don't necessarily think the newer ones are any better.

Date of Liability       01 02 2007
Date of First Registration       01 08 2001
Year of Manufacture       1998
Cylinder Capacity (cc)       2935CC
CO2 Emissions       Not Available
Fuel Type       Petrol
Export Marker       Not Applicable
Vehicle Status       Licence Not Due
Vehicle Colour       GREEN

Which would seem to indicate that it is an import IMHO
Unless it was sitting in a dealership some where unregistered for a few years

Hi Neil, I used www.tinypic.com for that one, just follow the instructions and you'll get the links for the pic at the end.

P.S. I had to reduce the size of the pic so it would fit on the screen.

TT the car is actually a lovely deep green, just the lighting from that angle makes it look bluish
