Title: Re: sat the 24th of march Post by jonnycab on Mar 25th, 2007, 5:55pm As someone else mentioned in another post... ........As Essex is the home of Ford in the UK (Brentwood, Dagenham, Dunton, Boreham), it would make sense that there would be a few more flying about on the roads of Essex. When I started cabbing in Brentwood back in 1997, the company I worked for had a deal with Ford to test their cars on the cab circuit. So going to work in the morning & being given the keys to a brand new Scorp was not uncommon ;D I even remember a few years ago that Brentwood traffic police had a couple of cossies that you would often see flying about town, but they got rid of them in the end ??? Rumour has it, that the chief of police didn't like his officers sitting in such a comfy car, with sumptuous leather seats, climate control, a 6 disk CD changer. He was affraid of them napping on the job }{ }{ Seriously though...I think it was more to do with them running out of petrol halfway though a high speed pursuit ;) ;D |
