Hi all -- Prince Claus, beloved spouse of our widowed Queen Beatrix, died on October 6, 2002 (as it happens my birthday)

He was a Scorpio driver by heart and possessed many. In fact the Royal family, until 2000, was transported in a stretched Scorpio Cosworth.

After Prince Claus died the Royal House changed over to Volvo's. All Scorpio's were acquired and sold by the local The Hague (where our Queen resides) dealer Ford Wilton.

Today, having lunch at the same seaside "Waterreus" restaurant in Scheveningen/The Hague, I spotted Prince Claus' car. Looking around I located and met with the current owner of Prince Claus' former '98 Scorpio Cosworth.

Bought with only 9.000 kilometers on the clock in 2000, car's done 285.778 kilometers by now. No trouble whatsoever... no chains! no looms! no you-name-its.

Incredible. Owner's still happy as a baby. He's 80 and loves his Royal Scorpio Cosworth which he intends on keeping until 90.
