I acquired my fist Scorpio some years ago from a chap in Merthyr. Despite it being a facelift 1998 2.3 Ghia (red) Saloon it was registered as N10 CCH, like so many Scorpios she unfortunately fell victim of terminal tin worm infestation. I love Scorpios so much that I was faced with the prospect of spending a fortune on welding and respraying or look for another car. Between February and April this year I read many classified ads and could find nothing in South Wales at that time, meanwhile my wife searched various websites. In April she found what looked like a good car on ebay and after some discussion with the seller we settled on a price and I soon became the owner of a 1997 Blue 2.3 ghia X estate P566 MBD, now re registered as C3LOY. The previous owner was a Mr Turner of Chichester who apparently passed away around December 2015. I would be interested to find out if anyone knows anything about either car or If anyone knew the Gentleman who looked after the Scorpio (P566MBD) for many years and apparently loved her as much as I do. 8)
