OK I hope to have in attendence with me a man who can re-gas our AC systems at the Weston Super Mare meet on Sunday July 31st 2005 at the Grand hotel, see this for last years event http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/weston04.htm

If anyone who is attending this meet would like there AC re-gassed please reply to this thread as I need to know numbers so I can work out prices, I suspect it will be much better than going to a garage, also he will be able to preasure test your AC before re-gassing to check for leaks.
Certainly by placing your name on the thread does not mean you have to go through with it, also it does not necessarily mean my man will be able to attend but it will help us get an idea so we can price it correctly.
I will be able to post prices as soon as we have enough people responding.

if its any help, at the Derby meet last year we had an AC man charging £45 to recharge plus a couple of quid for rubber seals if needed..

R12 is illegal now I am afraid and can not be used............

I can add now that Aircon Andy will be charge £40 for a full pressure test, vac down and re-gas, there will be other options from leak testing, too pressure testing which will be cheaper. So you wont have too stump up the full 40quid only to have it all leak away 30mins later ;D

Might be interested in this - before I saw this thread I just spent 1/2 hr sitting in the car trying to decide if the aircon is working properly!! It doesn't seem to be as cold as it was.

Hi all,

I can now add that Aircon Andy will be able to carry out Nitrogen preasure testing for £10

Top ups will be available as well but this will depend on gas used but will be cheaper than a full re-gas. :)

Dye testing for leaks will be available as well but will require some gas charging as well, so price will again depend on amount of gas that will be required.

I must point out that Andy will not be carrying any spares , so it would be a good idea to replace any items i.e. hoses etc before and then he will be able to gas you up or carry out preasure testing to determine if its worth gassing.
