·      Dedicated classes plus Club stands and a special “cars for sale” area.
·      Full catering and bar facilities
·      Another great day out for all the family!

Individual entries      £4.50 per vehicle or £2.50 for Motorcycles
Club entries            £4.50 per vehicle for the first 10, additional vehicles at £1 each.
Vehicles for Sale       £40 per vehicle (includes special forward display area)
(if you wish to bring a gazebo please book 1 extra vehicle space)

Remember that the administration fee also includes free admission for 2 adults and 2 children to both the show, and also to Harewood Bird Garden, Grounds and Adventure Playground (value £33.64) plus your commemorative plaque.

Last date for receipt of pre-booked entries is Monday 12 June so take advantage of early booking to secure your place at the special pre-booked entry price. Entries after 14 June (or on the day) will pay the normal Harewood admission rates which will be £9.77 each adult or £33.64 for a family of 2 adults and up to 3 children.
I do hope you will be able to make it to this year’s show which promises to be better than ever! I look forward to seeing you there!

Do we classify as a Club

"Club entries  £4.50 per vehicle for the first 10, additional vehicles at £1 each."

Not trying to be a "Tight Ass" but it would make a heck of a difference.
And the rest could go in the Site funds, or is that what already happens?
Scuse my ingnorance if it is.

Bob

hi bob

yep, that's how it works. we all pay a fiver, which covers all the admin and postage costs.

Quote:

we can't really go in as a club because of the numbers thing. 1st year we went, there was only 7 of us. the next year was somethig like 30+! last year was 15 (i think), so it's not so easy to organize. also anne/richard have to pay the ticket money 'up front', then collect it from us at the show.

if anyone is interested in going with FS. please email anne. details in the previous post from myself.

no! {}as i've said earlier, very few of us have 'show' cars. i've drive 200+ miles to get there, so you can imagine what my car looks like! just give it a clean and polish and a quick wipe over when you're there. sorted!!
when they're all in a line, you can't see the rust! that's why i park in the middle!! }{

Title: Re: harewood
Post by sector-9 on Apr 30th, 2006, 11:19am
Problem is, scorp_man, that whilst I'm comfortable doing electrics, and not too bad on the mechanics either - I don't do body-work of any description.  I vacuum the car a few times a year and it goes through the car wash once every few weeks (complete with fine scratches/swirl marks to prove).  That's it.

Polishing, waxing, etc. doesn't happen; I don't have the materials, knowledge or time so the best I can do is take it through an automatic car wash when I arrive and hoover it the day before.

You know what they say: you can't polish a turd...  :-/

Title: Re: harewood
Post by sector-9 on Apr 30th, 2006, 6:21pm
Better not wash it day before otherwise I'll wake up to find it's been used for target practice by 'bomber' birds...  >:(

Having said that, I might mix some crushed chillis in with the bird seed left out in the garden - make them suffer too!

There's a BP garage on a roundabout on the A6120 (Leeds northern ring road) - I think this is the junction with the A61 so not too far.

I'll be setting off from Coventry at about 6:30 Sunday morning and going up the M1 (not sure whether to go M6/A42 or M6/M69 yet) - give me a wave as you overtake!  ;D

M6 / M69 may be a good route if any of the southern team are stopping off at Leicester Forest East you could have yourselves a convoy  ;D

Unfortunately it looks like they're doing roadworks on the M69/M1 interchange so I'll probably be going via M42/A42 simply because we'll be cutting it fine to get there for 8:30 anyway.  However, I won't be doing more than 70mph and quite possibly less so if anybody catches up then wave as you pass!  M677 FEG for those that don't already know...

Hi chaps

always remember when you come to prep the car for tomorrow, that you should not wash the car in direct sunlight when hot as you can harm the paintwork
