Title: Hampshire meet 30th July
Post by ChrisB on May 23rd, 2006, 6:08pm
Hi there all.

If anyone would be interested I'm doing a Weston replacement meet this year in Hampshire.

Currently booked for 30th July 2006, and the Venue is Hayling Island a little place next to Portsmouth.

If you would be interested let me know so I can judge numbers.

Cheers ChrisB

Thanks Lee

Well with just 5 and a bit weeks to go I need to get bums on seats for this one, I have got some of the Mk1 & 2 drivers guild attending as well  :)

So if anyone else wants come along please let me know.

I have secured what I think is a great site which has a fun fair attached and a seaside railway so theres something with luck for all the family.
More details here on GSO http://www.granada-and-scorpio-online.com/forums/showthread.php?s=413a8b80815d0d29da793b0ff3c00dcb&threadid=11327

Please let me know if you can make it as spaces are limited  ;)

Guys, I run  an car air conditioning business on hayling, and have carried out repairs to many scorpio's, some of which belong to members of you forum. Would you likje me to put in an appearance on the day with all my gear and parts?

Hi RW ,

Thats very kind of you, I have already got my tame gas man in mind who did come to the Weston Meet last year. I have mentioned it to him and I think he will be making an appearance.
I will check with him to make sure if he is available for that weekend  ;)

I'll get back you if thats  OK RW  ;)

Many thanks

ChrisB

Hi Chris,

My cossie has an MOT so I will be down to join you...... The aircon doesn't work so if RW or your chap is there I will have some business for them.

See you on the 30th

SteveS.

Not long now  ;D

I can confirm RWaircon will be attending between 10am-1pm , so if your AC system is feeling the heat in this weather then hes your man to get it sorted  :)

Other wise see you on the day

Hi Chris, I am not too sure as to where the meet will be but I recon I will find it ok.  I am thinking of camping overnight on Sat, some site that is quiet and level for my tent.

I'm sure there was one more so apologies if I have missed you out  ::)

Sadly I was running about so much like a headless chicken on the day I didnt take many pics and they are very similar to Richards  ;)

Lastly I must thank Robin from RW Airconditioning for coming along and suppling his services for the day, also a big thanks to everyone who donated to Hayling First Responders who look after us lot down here if we run into trouble and are able to get to us before the ambulance
Finally a HUGH thanks to John Hill who gave us his site to allow us to hold the meet there.

Of course not forgetting all you nutters that watched us get bladdered on the webcam !!! Sorry I had to take the link down but my home network went into melt down at one stage due to the numbers logged into it  ;D

Right thats thats all me rambling , I hope you all enjoyed and you never know we might be able to do it again some time .

Hi Chris, thank you for a great day.  It was a pleasure to meet eveybody and chat about Scorpios.  I picked up lots of info and thank you for the OBD readout.  I look forward to knowing the mystery code?  She is running fine now but is still slower initially than my  2.9 v6 12valve which is very responsive to foot down at the traffic lights etc.
Best regards to everybody
Mike
