Matt. Try looking at the Travelodge site. I used one last year and if you book early it can be as low as £25. It's a five hour + run from where I am. ;)

Welcome, keep your eyes on this post, you will see the registration details in a couple of months, seem to remember that last year was a fiver, which is amazing value!!! Hopefully something similar this year.

Hello everyone, never been to a meet before, so was thinking of giving iot a go! What is the forma t? do we all have to be show cars? mine is bog standard 2.3 ultima which iv had since november. Bit worried about the jouney, probably 5 hours from London, already been on back of AA truck twice!! Any tips gratefully accepted

Gost, I travelled up from Sussex last year for the first time stayed at a Travelodge on the way as you need to be there by 8am to avoid the rush. Had a great day and put some names to faces. Really good atmosphere and my car, as yours, is a standard estate which had a wash before it went. The great thing is to meet the guys and gals who previously have only been names on a site. Mine was a five hour journey as you suggest. If you want to get a taste try one of the local meets such as the Kent meet at the end of March. Details on the site. ;)

Annie has said she was happy to do it, and I think it still makes sense with
us being local, but if anyone else wants to take over, perhaps in the longer
term that will be fine with us. We will assume Anne unless we hear a
definite otherwise. I'm not sure how difficult it will be to include all
three groups but do like the idea of a joint effort at the very least we
could get sites next door to each other which could work well. Do you have
any contact details for the right people to talk to in these other two
groups it's a while since I met them down at that fabulous 100 plus car
Granada/Scorpio do in Northamptonshire.

Anyone reading this who is interested in Harewood, (see meetings on web site
if you don't know what it is) please send usual details to
anigriffin@NTLworld.com please put Harewood in the subject line and include
your address for us send tickets. No money required at this time please (we
usually pay on a day, hopefully Andy's got the right date as we haven't
heard officially from Harewood yet will chase them)

Saddly chaps I have to say, I don't think I will be able to make it to the show on Suday due to some problems cropping up.... :( I hope everyone has a right good time and hope the weather stays favourable. If anything changes I will of course just turn up anyway.

I went out the back way; the way they sent us back in 2005. All the gates were open and I just sailed out There were loads of cars queing up as well. Best to go out that way as you don't get caught in the lines of the paying public all wanting to get out!!

Mind you there was only me, Richard/Anne and Brian left!!

Good day, not as good a turn out as the last time I was there in 2006 but still good to put names to faces.

Thanks to Simmo for fetching the Corsair bumper.... now if I can only get him to pick up that bootlid.... I'm sure mrs Simmo won't mind!!

It was our real pleasure meeting everyone and putting faces etc to the on-line ID.

valued OBD-2 scan of my 24Valve Cosworth the re-assurance I received was

priceless! b.t.w. I didn't buy anybody an icecream as promised - Shame on me 8)

It was really nice to meet up with friends old and new, you know who you are!

Andrew that burst pipe must have been really stressful and the drive back must have felt like egg shells.

Great day and the Walsh scalp caught the sun with a few drops of rain to cool things down, looking at Daves piccies on the MSN site it looks as if I am destined to stare and point at things.

Harewood 2008 had some really great other marques to see as well.

I think I must get out with the 12valve more this year to some of the other meets Badgers Mount, Billing and Blackpool beckon.
